First off, yes, I'm still alive. Development of Thrist is moving along, but unfortunately between it and recent developments, I haven't had much time to do independent writing on my own.
Recently, I was asked by BuckGB/Jon, owner of GameBanshee, to write some content for his site. GameBanshee is a great place, with tons of excellent RPG coverage, as well as a smart and invested community, so I was quite honoured that he asked me. Unfortunately, since I'll be writing for GameBanshee, this will probably mean fewer original articles to post on my own blog, especially as I agreed to make my work exclusive to GameBanshee. I'll still try to write my own stuff, but updates won't be as frequent.
That said, I will still take the time to provide development updates for Thirst, as well as post links to any articles I do write for GameBanshee. Speaking of which, my first article, a retrospective on Planescape: Torment, has just gone live. I don't like to toot my own horn, but for fans of RPGs, I think it's a solid read, and a relevant reflection upon the place a game Planescape might occupy in today's industry.
